Dover Corp to Acquire Indian Cryogenic-Valve Maker Leistung Engineering
Dover Corporation is buying India-based Leistung Engineering, expanding its cryogenic valve portfolio into a fast-growing market.
Dover Corporation has agreed to acquire Leistung Engineering, an Indian manufacturer specializing in cryogenic valves, in a move that broadens the U.S. industrial conglomerate's footprint in one of Asia's most dynamic industrial markets. The deal signals Dover's intent to deepen its presence in the cryogenic and liquefied-gas equipment sector as global demand for clean-energy infrastructure accelerates.
Leistung Engineering, based in India, produces specialized valves engineered to operate under extreme low-temperature conditions, a critical requirement for liquefied natural gas, liquid oxygen, and other cryogenic applications. By folding Leistung into its portfolio, Dover gains both manufacturing capacity on the Indian subcontinent and an established customer base in a region where LNG and industrial-gas infrastructure investment is expanding rapidly.

For Dover, the acquisition fits a broader pattern of targeted bolt-on deals designed to strengthen its engineered-products segments. Cryogenic components represent a high-barrier-to-entry niche where specialized technical expertise and regulatory certifications create durable competitive advantages — factors that typically support stronger pricing power and margins compared with commodity industrial goods.
India's industrial-gas and energy sector has attracted growing global investor attention as the country accelerates infrastructure modernization and pursues cleaner fuel alternatives. Acquiring an established local player like Leistung gives Dover an inside track on procurement relationships and regulatory familiarity that would be difficult and time-consuming to build organically.
